In the piece, I talk about a part of my story I don't always get to share in a therapy bio: coming to the United States from Argentina as a teenager, navigating a new language and culture, and the struggles I faced along the way. Those experiences shaped why I went into social work in the first place. I didn't want other kids to feel as misunderstood or unsupported as I sometimes did.

I also talk about how Beehive Family Services got started, beginning as a solo, online practice before growing into the team it is today, and what it's meant to build something alongside people I trust, including my best friend and colleague, Mary Elizabeth Lente, LCSW.

If you've worked with me or with Beehive, you know that our approach comes from lived experience as much as clinical training. This interview is a chance to share more of the "why" behind the work, why we care so much about meeting families where they are, especially in the middle of hard, complicated situations like divorce, custody transitions, trauma, and estrangement.
