Rebuilding the Parent-Child Relationship
Reunification therapy is designed to help repair a strained, disrupted, or disconnected relationship between a child and a parent. Through a careful, child-centered process, families receive support in rebuilding trust, improving communication, and creating healthier interactions.

A Gradual and Supportive Process
Every family’s circumstances are different. Services may include individual meetings, parent-child sessions, caregiver guidance, and coordination with approved professionals. The pace of therapy is based on the child’s needs, emotional readiness, safety considerations, and any applicable court orders.
Supporting the Whole Family
Reunification therapy may help family members understand relationship difficulties, develop healthier communication skills, establish appropriate boundaries, and reduce behaviors that place children in the middle of adult conflict. When appropriate, both parents or caregivers may be asked to support the therapeutic process.

Is Reunification Therapy Right for Your Family?
Reunification therapy may be appropriate when a parent and child have experienced an extended separation, resistance to contact, disrupted attachment, or ongoing family conflict. Participation may be voluntary or court-ordered. Before services begin, Beehive Family Services will review the referral, relevant court orders, safety concerns, and potential conflicts of interest to determine whether the case can be accepted.
